Stamina

Updated Mar 11 5:19 pm
Stamina is your action currency in the game. The race and class you choose for your character determines your starting amount of stamina tokens. Developing and training your character can expand this pool.

Speed

Stamina is how much effort you put in to your actions, which also means that it determines how quickly you act. The more stamina, the quicker you act in the round. Before the round starts, you pick an amount of Stamina that you want to invest in your actions during the round. If you put Stamina 6 in your stamina pool, you act faster than anyone investing less than 6. If a Hero has the same speed as an Enemy, the Hero acts first. If two Heroes have the same speed, you decide yourselves which one goes first

If this attack kills the target, recover one Stamina from any active card without removing the card

When your turn comes around, you can use Stamina in your stamina pool to play Action Cards, so with 6 Stamina in your pool you can play this card for instance, but then your Stamina pool is empty and you can not play another Action Card. The Stamina Pool is what you invest into your actions this round, this Stamina is locked until the end of the round and can only be used for Action Cards. If you have Stamina tokens left that are unused, they can be used for various purposes, but the Stamina Pool is locked for the round. It is wise to put the Stamina tokens you want to put into your actions on your player dashboard so you know they can only be used with Action Cards.

Movement

If you spend all your stamina on your actions, you will have none over for movement, so choose wisely. If you want to move far, you have to pick action cards that require less stamina. The stamina you spend on movement is taken from your Stamina left when having selected and invested into your Stamina pool on your action cards. This Stamina does not count towards how quick you act in the round. Unspent Stamina can not be used to make you act quicker

Recover Stamina

Stamina you have spent on your played cards (both Action and Item Cards) are locked to the card for the entire round, only at the end of the round may you recover these to your Stamina pool, unless the card has the or symbol on them, in which case the Stamina is locked to the card until it is taken out of play.

Cooldown

When an action card is used, the amount of Stamina you spent on it determines where the card ends up after your turn. On your dashboard there are cooldown slots for inactive and played cards that are not discarded. If an action or item card cost 3 Stamina to use, after your turn you place it in the 3-slot of your dashboard.
Your cooldown queue is advanced at end of each round, so when the round is finished your Stamina 3 card will then move to the cooldown 2 slot. Any card that has a Stamina value over 6 is put in the 6 cooldown slot.
